April 07 RollercoasterThe past 6 months have been a rollercoaster of events and emotions......... At one point I thought I was going to lose my house, my kids and my job. So much was happening in a very short period of time, all the things that mattered the most were concentrated and very intense to breaking point! Not only that but having to cope day to day making important decisions alone with no back up or safety net learning to face the consequences of my own actions. Whatever choices I made affected not just myself but my imediate family. However it is far from over there is still a long way to go before lots of loose ends can be tied up but life is like that and I intend to enjoy riding the rollercoaster of life holding on tight to the highs and freefalling with the lows. February 05 Everyready!Went to a wedding party reception on Saturday 2nd Feb, had a great time,kissed and hugged the groom! Photos are yet to follow. I did what I usually do, danced all night long and got the nik name of "Everyready" and "duracell" as i was dancing and dancing non stop from 8pm till 11.30pm! What can I say I just love to dance and once the music plays...... I am in a world of my own! Got home just before midnight still buzzing! Ready for the next party next week! December ..... another 60th January 04 New Year ......Whilst most of us were celebrating New year and new start for 2008, there were a few experiencing tragedy. It hits hard when the tragedy is a lot closer to home and makes you feel more humble, appreciative and be more grateful for each and every day. I have very little to complain about in general and for that I am truely thankful. My thoughts go out to those who have encountered such tragic circumstances over the festive period. December 09 Credit to youChristmas is a coming we are all sure of that, it comes same time every year, yet some are still unprepared financially even though the true meaning is somehow lost in comerciallity. It is hard for me imagine that I would need the use of a "credit card" when I have seen countless miss uses, it is not a "magic card!" Whatever you spend on it you HAVE to pay back with interest too! I have managed for over 22 years without using any credit card it has been a struggle to say the least. I have worked fulltime for over 14 in that time I had maternity leave twice. The last 7 years I have been a lone parent of 4 daughters having to rely on working families tax credit to top up my earnings which amounts to at least 42% of my total income! I also do NOT receive any child support for any of my children either. I have been offered numerous loans, credit cards and other debt creating products.... I say if you are unable to afford such luxuries then you simply go without. Works for me anyhow. It is all down to careful budgeting. December 05 Wet Whacky WednesdayWhat a day , rain more rain followed by more rain as I dont drive to work I got soaked right though to my undies! brrr had to get changed as soon as i got to work stripped off and dried off before starting the day! In situations of family court proceedings the system is somewhat unjust. The win-lose-draw factor takes over. The winners are ALWAYS the solictors/lawyers as they will get their fee no matter the outcome! Unfortunately the losers are always the children or those are unable to address the court themselves! A conclusion is always drawn by a judge (given on the evidence on file) whether it be a fews hours, days,weeks months and even sometimes years! There are many different ways to sort out family matters before contemplating court proceedings and are financially a lot less cheaper too. There is inevitable costs and not just financial when a family is involved in a dispute, divorce is only one of them and that is on the increase! |
